My path to design

For art’s sake

I was born in California, and spent the second half of my childhood in Charlotte, North Carolina in the U.S., I fell in love with art through studying art history and focused on drawing and printmaking for my undergraduate degree.

Balance

Although my background is arts-centered, I’ve always enjoyed strengthening the practical and analytical/strategic side of my skills as well. It was this pursuit of balance, and an interest in computer science that brought me to UI/UX design. In design I found a place where my passions aligned with a career, where my technical and creative sides came together to serve users, humans, - people.

It’s a process

I am a life long learner. I’m always chasing after a glimpse of the bigger picture. I welcome learning curves and understand the power of practice + process. My goal is simple: never stop learning, never stop growing .
